The AI Trio: ChatGPT, Bard, & Ernie

Meet ChatGPT, an AI language model with a wealth of knowledge and a love for original dialogue. This intelligent genie is always willing to converse, providing you with witty responses and insightful information.

ChatGPT is a fascinating travel companion eager to set out on a discovery voyage with you, whether it’s investigating novel concepts or just having fun. Get ready for an unforgettable encounter!

When asked to “Introduce ChatGPT creatively,” ChatGPT responded with this.

A chatbot with human-like abilities that can have instantaneous conversations, answer questions, create essays, or even code.

When ChatGPT, an AI chatbot from OpenAI Inc., was introduced in November of last year, it quickly became a hit online. The chatbot reached the milestone of 100 million active monthly users in January, barely two months after its introduction, making it the fastest online platform to do so.

In order to put things into perspective, a Reuters report cited statistics from Sensor Tower and stated that Instagram took 2.5 years to reach the 100 million user mark whereas TikTok did so in 9 months.

Competitors of ChatGPT have expressed anxiety at the business’s rapid expansion, especially after OpenAI, the parent company, received additional funding from Microsoft.

Microsoft reportedly invested $10 billion in OpenAI, per a Bloomberg article. As a result, other internet firms developed their own AI chatbots, including Google and the Chinese firm Baidu.

Here is a list of all the information we have about ChatGPT and its competitors’ chatbots.

ChatGPT by OpenAI:

ChatGPT was initially released in 2019 as a member of OpenAI’s Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT) family of models.

A conversational AI model called ChatGPT has been trained on a sizable corpus of text data, enabling it to provide responses that are similar to those of real people on a variety of subjects.

It makes use of a transformer architecture, a class of neural networks that have excelled at processing natural language.

For at least the past two months, the chatbot has been the topic of conversation. There have been stories about people using ChatGPT for academic work.

According to reports, students in the US have been utilizing the chatbot and requesting it to compose their essays.

Universities and colleges all across the world are working to forbid students from using ChatGPT for any form of academic support.

Google’s Bard:

In order to compete with ChatGPT, Google stated it was ready to introduce “Bard,” a new conversational AI chatbot.

In a blog post, Google CEO Sundar Pichai disclosed that the company was making Bard available to a select number of reliable testers before making it more freely accessible to the general public in the upcoming weeks.

Two years ago, we presented our Language Model for Dialogue Applications, which powers the newest generation of language and conversation capabilities (or LaMDA for short).

As stated in the blog article, “We’ve been working on an experimental conversational AI service, driven by LaMDA, that we’re calling Bard.

A child should be able to understand the chatbot’s explanations of complicated topics, such as discoveries made in space.

According to Google, the tool will also complete less exciting jobs like offering suggestions for party planning or lunch menus based on the food still in the refrigerator.

We’re releasing it initially with LaMDA’s lightweight model. We can scale to more users and get more feedback because our far more compact model uses a great deal less computational power, according to the Google CEO in a blog post.

Pichai left it unclear in his article whether Bard, named after the playwright who allegedly served as inspiration for the service’s moniker, will be able to produce writing in the manner of William Shakespeare.

Ernie from Baidu:

The Chinese tech giant Baidu unveiled Ernie, a sizable AI-powered language model, in 2019. Ernie stands for “Enhanced Representation through Knowledge Integration.”

According to the business, it has gradually advanced to the point where it can now handle jobs like language production, language understanding, and text-to-image conversion.

A Reuters story stated that Baidu intended to introduce such a service in March.

The company wants to provide the service as a standalone application and progressively incorporate chatbot-generated results when customers conduct searches into its search engine.
